Madera County Arts Council, a partner in the state-local partnership of the California Arts Council since 1982 and a private, non-profit organization working to support and promote all arts in Madera County.
Jana Botkin
Pencil Drawings
Jana Botkin's art captures the essence of rural Tulare County, California life. Her appreciation for nature shines in depictions of Sequoia National Park, particularly the Mineral King area. Her drawings of structures, landmarks, and agricultural scenery reflect her San Joaquin Valley heritage. Her portraits of people and animals are full of vitality and capture the spirit of her subjects.
Kay Peters Sermon
Watercolors
Kay Peters Sermon likes to say she began painting when she got into her older sister’s paint box at an early age. She is a watercolorist, a muralist, and a dedicated teacher. Kay is on the adjunct faculty of Fresno Community College, teaching Beginning Drawing, conducts a weekly outdoor painting class on location (rain or shine), and teaches privately in her home.

Terry Reed is a native of the Sierra-Nevada Foothills in Central California. His accomplishments over many years include award winning pencil drawings, watercolors, and wood sculptures. Terry feels a spiritual connection with his subjects and expresses this feeling of closeness.
